Tahi Lodge ~ Food and Wine
Guests staying in The Kawau Suite have continental breakfast provisions provided in their self-catering kitchen. Guests staying in The Matakana or Sandspit Suites are offered a scrumptious full continental breakfast, consisting of a range of homemade delights such as yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit, muffins, bread, jams, and marmalades. Your breakfast tray will be served to you, giving you the choice to eat in your suite or outside on your own private patio.
The Matakana Coast region offers a number of vineyards, cafes, restaurants and bars where you can enjoy dining out and sampling local wines - or take-out, on the beach, or at Tahi Lodge can be equally as good!

Vineyards
Ascension Vineyard, Matakana - winery, restaurant and function venue.
Cellar door and wine tasting 10am - 5pm. Restaurant weekdays 11am - 4pm, weekends 11am - 5pm.
Herons Flight Vineyard & Cafe, Matakana - fine wine, food and coffee. Open daily.
Hyperion Wines, Matakana - vineyard and winery - tours and tasting.
Open weekends and holidays 10am - 5pm, also open daily from Boxing Day to 6th February.
Matakana Estate, Matakana - Open 7 days for wine tasting 10am - 7pm.
Ransom Wines, Warkworth - vineyard, winery, and wine bar.
10 am to 5pm Tuesday to Sunday, Summer open daily, except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Cafes
Cafe Sandspit - water front cafe - beside the Sandspit ferry wharf.
Coffees, brunch and lunch 7 days. Dinner Fridays and Saturdays and 7 days over summer.
Dragonfly Cafe & Gallery, Matakana - stylish cafe with courtyard garden and gallery/gift shop.
Matakana Patisserie, Matakana - artisan bakery and cafe. Open from 7am 7 days a week.
Mariposa Palm Cafe & Nursery, Point Wells - country style fare, set amongst the palms.
Open 7 days 9am - 4pm daily.
Morris & James Cafe, Matakana - courtyard cafe-bar in an idyllic setting next to pottery showroom.
Open 7 days 9am - 4pm weekdays, 9am - 5pm weekends.
Restaurants and Bars
Bridgehouse Bar & Restaurant, Warkworth - landmark est. 1854, views over the Mahurangi River.
Open 7 days from 11am till late.
Leigh Sawmill Cafe, Leigh - set amongst native gardens - great food, wine and regular live music.
Summer hours (mid Dec - mid Feb) 7 days 10am - late. Winter hours Fri, Sat and Sun 10am - late.
Matakana House, Matakana - 100 year old building - bar, bistro and restaurant.
RD6 Restaurant & Bar, Matakana Country Park
Open 7 nights and for lunch Friday to Monday. Brunch on weekends starts from 9am.
Rusty Pelican Bar, Restaurant & Pizzeria and Rusty Tui Sports Bar, Matakana
Rusty Pelican is open from 4pm till late Monday to Friday, and 11am till late Saturday and Sunday. Rusty Tui is open Monday to Wednesday 3pm till late, Thursday and Friday noon till late and Saturday and Sunday 10am till late.
Salty Dog Inn, Snells Beach - reproduction of an Olde English pub.
A la carte restaurant open 7 nights, open from Wed to Sun for lunch, and brunch in the weekends.
The Pizza Co. Cafe & Bar, Warkworth - pizzas, pastas, desserts and coffee - dine-in or take-away.
Thai Warkworth, Warkworth fully licensed restaurant by the river and takeaways.
The Meeting House Restaurant and Cafe, Warkworth - licensed, contemporary New Zealand cuisine.
Lunch: Wednesday - Sunday. Dinner: Tuesday - Saturday. Open during Summer, closed in Winter.
